Product description
Magic the Gathering Ravnica Cluedo Edition is a game that is a combination of the card game Magic and the board game Cluedo.
We would recommend this product to moderately advanced players who want to spice up their Magic the Gathering game with something interesting, and get some interesting cards at the same time. We do not recommend it for complete beginners (you will actually be learning two games at once) or very experienced players (these are not competitive packs or cards).
The Ravnica Cluedo Edition pack includes:
- One special promo full art foil card of one Shockland;
- Eight packs (ala jumpstart packs),
- that make a total of 4 play decks (40 cards);
- 21 cards that are used for Cluedo (but can also be played in Magic);
- a notebook, covers for your notes and other Cluedo stuff;
- card box;
How is this game played? It can be played by up to 4 players and is based on being played as a standard Magic the Gathering game. In addition, however, there is a riddle (crime) to solve. For those of you unfamiliar with Cluedo, we'll try to explain it below. The Cluedo questions are then asked whenever you deal damage to your opponent. This way you gradually get clues for the final decipherment.
The game of Cluedo is based on the fact that there are 21 cards in total, and a random combination of character, item and room is chosen for each game. This combination is not known to anyone and is placed in the middle of the table. The other cards are dealt out among the players or put aside. The individual clues are then acquired sequentially (here in this version, whenever you deal damage to an opponent). If you think you already know the final combination, you can try your luck and tell everyone your guess. You only have one chance and if you guess, you are the winner, if not, you are eliminated from the game.
More information and details on this variant of Cluedo will be revealed when it is released.
For Magic the Gathering players, this pack is interesting because of the special promos you won't find anywhere else. And also due to the fact that the decks have unique cards in them (always one rare and one uncommon) that have not been released anywhere else. The other cards in the decks are reprints. Each deck is always dedicated to one guild from Ravnica.
