This set, released 18. April 2025 in Japan, celebrates the return of the legendary criminal organization Team Rocket and their iconic Pokémon such as Mewtwo ex, Persian ex, Ampharos, Muk, and Articuno - all styled in the style of Giovanni's loyal followers.

The set continues to build on the popular Owner's and Tera mechanics, with an emphasis on Psychic, Darkness and Lightning types. The Korean version has the same content as the Japanese one, but offers a specific linguistic charm that makes it an attractive collector's piece.

What do the Owner's and Tera mechanics mean? The Owner's mechanics have their roots in earlier sets such as Gym Heroes or later EX Team Rocket Returns. Pokémon marked with this mechanic are closely associated with specific trainers from the Pokémon world - such as Giovanni's Nidoking, Rocket's Mewtwo, or Koga's Muk. In this case, the trainer's name is part of the name of the Pokémon itself. These Pokémon often have special attacks or abilities that reflect the style and character of the trainer. In the new Glory of Team Rocket set, this mechanic returns in a modern form - the Pokémon here fall under the Team Rocket banner and are styled as "Giovanni's" Pokémon.

The Tera mechanic is inspired by the terastalization of the Scarlet & Violet video game world. In the card game, it manifests primarily in the form of Tera Pokémon exes, which have a crystalline appearance and sometimes an atypical type - such as a Water Charizard.
