What are Digimon? Digimon are digital creatures living in the Digital World, a parallel universe created by data from the internet, networks and digital devices. They have different forms, abilities and evolve (digivolve) into stronger forms - often depending on emotions, training or circumstances. Each Digimon has a name, traits, type and level (e.g. Rookie, Champion, Ultimate, Mega).

Did you know that ... in 1997, Digimon started out as an electronic Tamagotchi-type toy - a little digital pet that you took care of. It wasn't until 1999 that the anime series Digimon Adventure followed, where kids from our world were transported to the Digital World to team up with their Digimon and fight evil.
