Paldean Fates
The Paldean Fates Pokémon card set will be the first set of 2024. It is a special set (numbered 4,5), in which only special Pokémon card collections are released, but no separate boosters or booster boxes are released. Shiny versions of Pokémon cards appear in this set. We expect these to be largely reprints of cards from previous Scarlet and Violet editions, but they will get their own Shiny version. So far, we know that staples like Charizard, Pikachu, Mimikyu, Iron Treads, Great Tusk, and more will be coming out. In addition, special Illustration rare cards should be available in Shiny versions. Looks like a great edition.
There will be Paldean Fates Elite Trainer Boxes (ETB), mini tins, V boxes (gift packs), bundles, sticker collections or tins. The products will be released gradually, not all at once as is usual with special editions. The edition will be based on the Japanese Pokémon set Shiny Treasures, which will be released on December 1, 2023.
In total, the edition contains 240 cards and 130 cards will have a Shiny version.
After Paldean Fates, we can look forward to the SV5 - Temporal Forces set.

Special sets (or subsets, holiday edition or half edition) are additional sets of cards (e.g. Prismatic Evolutions, Pokémon 151 Card, Black Bolt and White Flare, ...) that are released outside of the main editions (e.g. Journey Together, Destined Rivals, Paldea Evolved, ...). They are designed to bring something special - unique design, thematic focus, or exclusive reprints.
