Alchemical Revolution is a standard set that adds three new classes (Guardian, Cleric and Ranger) and three new advanced elements (Neos, Astra and Umbra). Explore brand new play styles and discover novel deck building strategies.
The new set includes 214 Unique cards and 227 Foil cards.
The first thing anyone can associate with " Guardian" is its role as protector. Guardian-based strategies should excel at defending their own field, and some cards should reward them for it. Strategies focused on controlling the board should increase the complexity of the Grand Archive combat system in a healthy and interactive way.
The goal of the Cleric class was to have it specialize in magic spells, similar to the Mage class, but with more emphasis on interaction. Clerics specialize more in defensive spells and preventative effects. This includes protective and negation effects. The Cleric's method of victory is usually by a roundabout way compared to other classes, so Cleric players must be able to outwit their opponent to buy more time.
The Ranger class had an interesting design intent - to be a very reactive class, but to reward preparation and interaction on the opponent's turn. The main inspiration is the way ranged units in MOBA and RTS games can "kite" (hit and run, using distance to their advantage) their enemies. In addition, the Ranger class should also specialize in customizing the attack, which should lead to great tactical battles.
