Pitch Black
Pokémon set Pitch Black is the fifth set in the Mega Evolution cycle. It brings us new Pokémon cards such as Mega Darkrai, Mega Excadrill, Mega Zeraora, as well as Zarude, Gengar, Ghastly, Tyrunt, Aurorus, Luxray, Slowpoke and more. The set should include 6 Mega Evolutions, 11 Illustration Rare Pokémon, 6 Special Illustration Rare Pokémon, and 18 Ultra Rare cards.
The following Pitch Black edition Pokémon products will be available: decks, booster boxes, elite trainer boxes, checklane blisters, premium checklane blisters, 3-packs, bundles. Of course, we can't forget the albums, with 4-pockets and 9-pockets coming out for each edition.
The Pitch Black edition of Pokémon will be released on July 17, 2026. In Japan, this edition will be released as Abyss Eye on May 22, 2026. The English set will be very similar to the Japanese one (the Pokémon Company has been releasing English sets this year with the same lineup as the Japanese one, and will apparently continue this trend). The set is thus quite small, with 115 cards. At Merry Dragon, you'll be able to pre-order this set a few days before the actual release.
